Our Purpose

Ecclesia Church exists to carry out God’s purposes based on five Biblical truths:

•    To love God with all our heart – Worship
•    To bring the Good News – Evangelism
•    To teach new believers to observe - Discipleship
•    To love your neighbor as yourself - Service
•    To baptize new believers into the Body - Fellowship

  1. Worship

Worship- is an expression of our love towards God. Bible commands to ‘worship the Lord your God’, which is the first and greatest commandment. Our church believes that the First Commandment should be the biggest priority in our personal lives, as well as in our church life. We also believe, that our musical worship can be expressed through the raising of hands, applauding, dancing, praising with words. We don’t require anyone to worship this way but we also don’t prohibit those who wish to express praises to God in this way. (Mt. 4:10; Mt. 22:37-38; John 4:23-24.)

  2. Evangelism

Evangelism is simply sharing your faith with others. The definition of evangelism is to bring or share good news. In other words, the purpose of the church is to speak about God and His glorious works. God wants to show His wisdom and power on Earth through the church. (Eph. 3:10; Rom. 10:13-14.)

  3. Discipleship

Discipleship is a process of bringing Christians into maturity in Christ. We want to see mature Christians in this house and are offering different programs for those who do not want to remain in infancy but instead want to grow and move forward and towards perfection. (Mat 5:48; Heb. 6:1; 2Pet. 3:18; Eph. 4:13; Heb. 6:1; 2Pet. 3:18.)

  4. Ministry

Ministry is showing God’s love to people through service and meeting their practical needs. We are surrounded by wounded people who need God’s love.  We are His hands and feet and Christ wants to love people through you.  We encourage people in our church to devote themselves to serving others, starting with our families, our church, our city and our missionary outreach. (1Cor. 12:4-5,27;  John 13:35.)

  5. Fellowship

Church is an organism and not an organization. We believe that we are called by Christ not to only visit church but be a part of the organism where each person is important and needed. We are called to not only believe in God together but also to share joys and difficulties together, by helping each other. One of the important ministries in Ecclesia are the home groups. This is a place where God ministers to us through each other. We strongly recommend that every church member joins a small group. (Eph. 4:16.)
