Our Principles

  1. The Bible is Our Source of Authority

We believe that all 66 books of the Bible are the Word of God and contain our standard by which we live. (2Tim. 3:15-16; 2Pet. 19:21.)

  2. Independence of Each Local Church

A head of a church is Christ and not a pastor. We, as a church, make our own internal decisions to make big expenditures, such as real estate purchases and building remodels. We are not subject to an outside denominational control and we are not told what to do and how to do it. We, as a church, make our own decisions in these matters. (Col. 1:18.)

  3. Each Believer Belongs to the Priesthood

We don’t separate people into priests and laymen. We believe that each believer belongs to the priesthood. You don’t need a middleman between you and God. You yourself have direct access to Father. You are a royal priesthood. (1 Peter 2:9; Rev. 1:6.)

  4. Tithing

The word “tithe” means 10%. This is a method by which we maintain our church. Ecclesia is provided for and maintained on the tithes and offerings of people who devoted themselves to this church. We believe that it is the responsibility of each member to support the church through tithing and offerings. (Mal. 3:10; 2Cor. 9:6-7; Lk. 10:27.)

  5. Baptism

We practice Baptism by full water immersion. This is the way Christ did it and this is what Bible teaches us to do. We believe that a person receiving water baptism have to personally make a conscious decision to do so. Since babies are not capable of making such conscious decisions, we don’t practice water baptism of babies. (Col. 2:12; Mt. 3:13-16; Mk. 18:10-11.)

  6. Spirit-Filled Life

We believe and teach people to have a close personal relationship with God through daily prayer and reading of the Word. We don’t rely on our own strength but fully acknowledge our dependence on Him. We receive power from Him, as well as our strength and ability to go forward and be a victor. God does not allow accidental sufferings in our lives but rather He teaches us in these circumstances to trust Him. (John 15:5; Mt. 22:37; Rom. 8: 28-29.)

  7. Witness to Others About Christ

It is our responsibility and privilege, as Christians, to share Christ with others. We don’t need to know the Bible well or be an evangelist to tell others about Christ. All we have to do is to say to people, “This is what God did for me. Maybe I don’t understand everything yet, but I know for sure that my life with Him changed.” Tell others about Him! (1 Pet. 3:15; Mk. 16:15; Acts 1:8.)

  8. Family

We believe that a family is God's design and God Himself is the author of the first family of a man and a woman. We teach biblical principles on a family structure and the proper relationship between a husband and a wife and between parents and children. (Gen. 2: 21, 24; 1Cor. 3:11; Eph. 5:22-25; 6:1-4).
